smartPACK held its annual meeting on June 19 whith 22 members present
Trine Tolfsby from Empower and Wilhelm Myrer from Oslo Blockchain Cluster gave a presentation on the use of blockchain technology for tracking, sorting and recycling of plastic globally.
The delegates elected new board members, approved the budget and the new statutes for the cluster. They also approved a name change to smartPACK 2030. The year 2030 was added to the present name to signal a longer perspective of the aims at achieving a world of a more sustainable packaging.
The meeting took place at ROAF – Romerike Avfallsforedling, and continued on to the new nearby Moltzau plant for cardboard packaging.
